In compliance with the Executive Order No. 605, s. 2007, the Southern Philippine Agribusiness Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) was awarded and recognized as Quality Management System Certified to ISO 9001 Standards last October 11, 2017 at the Development Academy of the Philippines Conference Center, Tagaytay City. The award was received by the Chief Administrative Officer of the institution, Dr. Lynette A. Bontia.
The government quality management committee (GQMC) in the Philippines awarded the certificate of recognition to SPAMAST signed by the Department of Budget and Management Secretary, Benjamin E. Diokno; Department of Trade and Industry Secretary, Ramon M. Lopez; the Officer in-charge of the Department of Interior and Local Government, Catalino S. Cuy; the deputy executive secretary from the Office of the President-Internal Audit Office, Alberto A. Bernardo; and the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Development Academy of the Philippines, Elba S. Cruz. This certification recognizes all industry sectors that have been successful in establishing its quality policies and objectives, process approach, efficient decision making, costumer focus and other necessary practices that could improve management performance of the organization. And this has achieved by SPAMAST, as it aims to prioritize continuous progress for its clientele and the organization itself.
