The Institute of Agricultural Technology and Entrepreneurial Studies (IATES) of SPAMAST Buhangin campus is now preparing to build a multiplier farm for livestock.
SPAMAST, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture Region XI-Livestock Division, will establish a multiplier farm with an allocated budget of 1.2M that will have domesticated animals raise in an agricultural setting to produce commodities such as food. Since the campus is practicing agricultural innovations as it offers programs related to farming and business such as Bachelor of Agricultural Technology and Bachelor of Science in Agri-business, the project will be a great help to students to learn by doing.
As SPAMAST claims to make itself independent in terms of self or income generating projects, the said multiplier farm becomes an opportunity for the institution to earn and explore prospects with others. – Sheena Love Estilloso
